Just a quick word on the Futureheads show from last Friday. It was a good time. I didn't see them the first time around, but wanted to catch them to see how well they perform their brand of lightening fast post-punk rock.
It doesn't take a degree to figure out what the Futureheads are all about. Their first album was so brazenly energetic that to point out their influences is waste of time because it's so obvious. Their new album, News & Tributes, manages to slow down just a bit to have some variations in tempo. I think that's why "Skip to the End" was the first single because it sounded so different then anything they done before.
The live show was over and done with before you knew it. Everyone had happy, bouncing feet. You had no choice because the music is so infectious.
