Salon de mercure de Les Sans Culottes @

Les_sans_culottes2To end the work week, I took in a performance by America's favorite fake French rock outfit, Les Sans Culottes. They tested out some new material from their upcoming album, This Is Where You Put Your Weed. That could be the best title of an album, EVER! If memory serves me right, it might be a reference to a SNL skit from the Farley, Schneider and Spade years.

Clermont Ferrand told the crowd that one song is about painter Jean-Michael Basquiat and another about kittens. From what I heard, the sixth album is going to sound a little bit more punkier, but remain true to their 60s-French mod style.

Les Sans is pretty much my favorite local act who play around a regular basis. If you live in NYC area, they are one of the bands you have to see at least once.
