As it turns out, she was the focus of this report done by Dame Oprah Winfrey, that profiled the state of the nine-year old child. "We've seen nine-years olds struggling with violence, abuse, divorce, foster homes, homeless, unraveling Fruit Roll-ups."
This clip works on so many levels. Even if I didn't know Chantal, there's plenty to soak in. One, the music that plays through the whole piece -- so melodramatic. The series of cuts about what she likes, "I've read books on Egypt ... My favorite opera is Die Fledermaus ... I've been to France and Dallas ... I like blood" mixed with that cornball music had my laughing hard. DOOOOOO DOOOOOOO DOOOOOOOO. HA! Oprah comes off as so pretentious in this clip. America, Oprah cares about Chantal.
Now fast forward to today. Here's Chantal as we know her. I'd like to see this on Oprah.

IMO Chantal is one butt ugly chick. In the video for Best Of Me, she is really annoying, she walks around like she is hot-shit. Somebody needs to tell her she is fugly. That part when she is making out with the man & woman makes me want to gag!

Chantal is 'fugly'? What then, may i ask, is your definition of 'pretty'? Being 30 pounds under weight and having a chest flatter then most guys? Cuz that sure as hell isnt the least bit attractive to me. But i dunno maybe im just werid. =/ And Morningwoods music videos are meant to be funny and entertaining, unlike most of the whiney sceneable crap on tv today.

I rely more on my spiritual gifts. The gifts that are sueurnatprally bestowed on Christians by God. Everyone has their own gift (or gifts). What you do with them is what matters. And sometimes figuring out what your gift(s) are is difficult.You can definately combine this line of thinking with your spiritual gifts, but I think it's a slipperly slope to just depend on yourself as being your higher power. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone were motivated to do their part to make the changes they want to see. :-)
