The SXSW Verdict

I'm making this quick and painless, I am not going to SXSW. I'm sure there is some sort of blogger by-law that states you have to go because everyone is doing it. Things to keep in mind:

  • Those buzz bands that always turn up, I've either already seen them or they stop by NYC in the following days.
  • Would love to go to Austin, just not during SXSW.
  • When I'm away from the NYC area, I don't want to see people I know. The reason I travel is that I don't see people I know.
  • The free beer -- dudes, with this face and personality, I always get free beer.
  • I get nauseous when I see too many short sleeve plaid shirts and hipster nerd glasses.

Jokes aside, just have other plans. Go, have a good time, I'll hold down the fort.
