Here we go again, kids. Bands and bands and bands. Get your MetroCard ready. As per usual, I'll be here and there, but will cut back a bit to focus on my show on Friday night at Joe's Pub with Lucky Soul (your presence is required) and to torture myself with Phillies baseball.
The BV showcase is choice tomorrow with Passion Pit and Phenomenal Handclap Band. Saturday should be nice with Fanfarlo and White Shoes and Couples Company playing gigs.
A CMJ post wouldn't be complete without pointing out the strange and unusual band names playing during the week in New York.
* Tunnels to Holland: As opposed to the Holland Tunnel.
* Underwater Tea Party: Hey, how can you drink tea underwater? Silly people.
* Experimental Dental School: Is it safe to see them?
* Ringo Deathstarr/Gringo Starr: These bands will not honor any autograph requests.
* Tiger! Shit! Tiger! Tiger!: This has inspired me to start my own band. I'll call it, Jumanji! Fuck! Jumanji! Jumanji!
* Check Out the Tits on Tituba: Oh, man. It's amazing what creativity springs from the human mind. According to Wiki, Tituba, also called "TIBULA" or Tituba Indian, was one of the first three people accused of practicing witchcraft during the Salem witch trials of 1692 in Salem Village, Massachusetts.
* Autovaughn: Fun, fun fun on the Autovaughn.
* These Modern Socks: I'm pretty sure sock technology hasn't changed in the past few decades.
* Thank You For The Drum Machine: You're welcome.
* Arsonists Get All The Girls: Tell me about it.
* I Wrestled A Bear Once: And apparently lived to tell the tale.
* Dances With White Girls: They took my Native American name.

I like Dirty Fuzz. They from England and they do rock the fuzz out of my dirt.
