Let's continue the tom foolery:
- Til We're Blue Or Destroy: That doesn't give us many options. I vote for blue ... which would make another fine band name.
- U Can Unlearn Guitar: That would make one swell informercial. "Unlearn guitar for only $19.95!"
- Very Be Careful: Must be Yoda's favorite band. "Band like you will"
- The River Phoenix: Oh, dear lord. I thought the Kevin Costners were bad. The Heath Ledgers will be formed within the next five years.
- Right Away, Great Captain!: You can't go wrong with a Captain name -- Captain, Captain Beefheart, My Sad Captian, Captain & Tennille.
- Lucky Fonz III: First single,"Sit On It, Potsie"
My favorite here is Lucky Fonz III, anytime you can invoke a beloved sitcom icon, I say go for it. The guy's real name is Otto Wichers. He's a gentle singer-songwriter from Amsterdam, who reminds me Fionn Regan.
The other band to check out is Austin's Till We're Blue or Destroy, they have that late 80s indie-pop sound that seems to be popular these days (ex. The Pains of Being Pure of Heart) mixed with the horn glow of Broken Social Scene. Check out "All Shook Up"
