Apparently, nobody told Ian McCulloch that it was a nice SUMMER day. No matter, the guy wants to wear a heavy warm pea coat, let him wear it.
I'm not too well versed in the Echo and the Bunnymen universe. I'm more of a Jesus & Mary Chain guy, because they picked up where your precession Echo left off. I recognize their history, but only know the popular songs that everybody else does, Killing Moon, Lips Like Sugar, Bring on the Dancing Horses, etc. Ian and the hired help have a new album this year, The Fountain, that features Chris Martin.
I saw them a few years ago, and they are much better indoors when it's dark -- not in the bright sunshine. Doom and gloom was not in the order, so I vacated to enjoy the grounds.
I have about 100 pictures of Ian in the exact same pose. Also, the other guitarist violates on my concert guidelines -- bands should not wear their own t-shirts.
