You know the drill by now, but First Aid Kit ran into visa problems and won't be able to make their U.S. dates.
As Klara and Johanna write: right now we're home just enjoying being at home with our dear family here in Sweden. The weather is lovely and we're preparing for our tour with Fanfarlo. Unfortunately we had to cancel our last shows with Slow Club because of visa problems (for the US), so sorry about that.
I figured something like this would happen. We'll see you soon kids.
In any event, Norway's Sissy Wish has joined the line-up. Awesomeness all around. Siri Ålberg's little electronic project will satisfy your afternoon delights. I played a few of her tracks on my old radio show and have been keeping an eye on her ever since. The musician and her traveling partners will a bring bunch of keyboards and synths to the proceedings. She breezed through a few months ago, and now she'll be around during CMJ to play tracks off of Beauties Never Die.
As Pitchfork writes: The pseudonym may initially evoke images of cardigan-clad musicians strumming playground-set songs, but Ålberg's music is anything but twee and naïve. Rather, the name Sissy Wish implies a combination of playfulness and wistfulness-- two qualities in good supply on Ålberg's third full-length.
There you go. I'll have the updated line-up and set times for you shortly.
