I swear I'll finished with these Siren posts this week ... maybe.
Good call in getting Night Marchers on the Siren bill. When I think of Coney Island, I think of a) The Warriors and b) classic punk rock a la Ramones and garage rockers. The line-up usually throws in something in that genre (New York Dolls, Black Lips).
As you probably know, Night Marchers is fronted by former Rocket from the Crypt lead singer John Reid. Thus, he was the elder statesman of the line-up. Teddy Rockstar is not quite into elder statesman status. In any event, Marchers shredded through their set with grinding guitars and a lot snarls. If they could, they could have worn some bad ass leather jackets. I think when they came on, I hit the wall with the high 90 temperatures. I can't imagine what the acts were going through.
