TRON blazed the box office this weekend. I went full geek and went to the midnight showing for IMAX 3-D on thursday. My thoughts in a nutshell, a wild visual ride with a preposterous story that doesn't make any sense. I still like it because I'm a nut for cool designs, and the middle action sequences was a trip. I was pumping my fist for the techno fight scene in the night club. And you gotta love Michael Sheen doing Bowie from Ziggy Stardust.
As I mentioned in August, TRON: Legacy was going to to be turned into an attaction at Disney's California Adventure. Obviously, Daft Punk music was going be incorporated into the ElecTRONica. Now that film is upon us, we can see the results. Not only does the show have the score, but the makers weaved their track "Superheroes" from Discovery into the dance routine. The results, just like the movie's story, is ridiculous .. as in so ridiculous that it's actually cool.
Plug in to ElecTRONica and assimilate into the virtual world of TRON: Legacy, the new Walt Disney Pictures' film opening nationwide on December 17, 2010. Each night, this high-energy street festival ignites Hollywood Pictures Backlot with fun for the whole family.
