Brother, the UK upstarts and one of my British acts to watch for 2011, make the U.S. debut in March with a trio of area dates as well as SXSW.
- March 23 -- Mercury Lounge, New York
- March 24 -- The Rock Shop, Brooklyn
- March 25 -- Maxwell's, Hoboken, NJ
They are going straight to the majors with a deal on A&M. The Stephen Street debut album will be out in July. Lead singer Lee Newell says of the pre-hype, "It's something we always expected. We don't doubt ourselves. You have to have an air of arrogance. You have to believe it."
Their first single and video is from the track "Darling Buds of May"

I follow your blog, I like the music you like - but I just can't get behind you on this band. The combination of average sound plus, well, plus what this article says -

Thankfully there's a plethora of new decent bands over here (many you've mentioned) that should make for a great musical 2011. Oh, and PULP!

You probably aldaery did this, but try running just plain water through it. Put the water in and turn it on no grounds. That might clean out the places you can't reach. You could also put some vinegar in the water. Vinegar cleans a lot of things you wouldn't expect. Then run it with plain water again. Otherwise, get a new one, although it doesn't seem very old. My ex-husband would wear out coffee pots and it took longer than that.
