I've been preparing for my Camden Crawl bands to watch post for next week, and it's tough to narrow my preivew down to a handful of bands. This band I came across, Crowns, are still a young band -- not quite ready to be a "one to watch". They do have a great song in the form of "Little Eyes". Plus, It's the only song I can find from the Cornish outfit. Just hearing the song, you can instantly peg them as traditional Irish musicians who play with a punk attitude. It's not unlike The Pogues, who Crowns opened for once.
"Little Eyes" is a traditional folk song, and serves as the band's first single. It features Mumford & Sons' Ben Lovett on backing vocals and accordion. It's a great drunk song, and it's appropriate because I partook in Happy Hour a little too much on this Wednesday night:
