Apparently, this M83 is a big deal now. Funny, because when I saw them/him three years ago at Bowery, nobody gave a crap. Oh well, I guess there's plenty of room on that bandwagon.
Anyway, this is not about M83, it's about Saint Saviour, who has a debut album, Union, coming out June 25th. Becky J. did it all herself -- wrote, produced, financed, performed and she probably make the CDs herself if she could. She says about her debut, “I never ever write about my own experience, my family life or relationships. I’m not really interested in badgering on about my own life, I’d rather write about daydreams and the news, stuff that’s important rather than being self-indulgent.”
