If you remember her first single off the her last album, it was "Daniel". Now, Natasha Khan is crooning about Laura. Since I'm a child of the 90s, the first Laura I think of is Laura Palmer of Twin Peaks. You think the song is inspired by her? "Laura, you are a superstar" I leave that nugget with you.
In any event, the almighty Bat For Lashes is back to reclaim the top of the mountain from Florence + The Machine. Khan's third album is called The Haunted Man. Capitol will release the album on Oct. 23 in the U.S. She's been previewing some songs on some selected festival dates, but will do an extensive Fall tour in Europe. She'll hit up Scotland, England, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Brussels, France. Hmmmm. I can see this blogger traveling to Europe in the fall just to see her live. We shall see.
In any event, the cover art of the album features a nude Khan with a man draped over her. Who is this man? It's me, of course. Duh. She needed a little help lifting me up, but she is a trooper.
