An update from a band I wrote about last February, Leeds indie-poppers This Many Boyfriends have put the finishing touches on their debut album. The Cribs' Ryan Jarman produced the album, which was released today in the UK via Angular Recordings. Previously, T.M.B toured with The Cribs.
You can listen to the album now over at The Guardian.
The band has an infectious early Smiths-like energy with a little bit of whimsy in their tunes and attitude. When I first heard (I Should Be A) Communist, I knew I would become a fan. Their latest single from the new album is called Number One. It's a keeper.
