Still hiding in the shadows of the British electronic music scene, Stay + (Matt Farthing and Christopher Poole) drop a little nugget with their latest single, "Crashed". Unlike dancefloor anthems "Fever" and "Young Luv," this is a more down tempo track, featuring vocals from Queenie. It recalls early 90s house mixed with some dubstep. More than anything, it has great tonal qualities.
I'm still waiting patiently for word of high profile gigs. They still remain a mystery, but they are starting to give interviews. They told Planet Notion that a debut album is in the works. The group itself is changing it terms of band members and direction. Part video art, part DJ project. Their online presense is tough to wrap yourself around. Their official site doesn't tell you much about the duo, it more just sets a mood. As frustrating as it is, I get the idea -- slow down any premature hype. Looking at their live gigs on youtube, it's nothing but wild visuals.
