The tastemakers over at Rough Trade offer up the debut album from Stubborn Heart as the Album of the Month. Heck, let's put it on the list of best debuts of the year. The London duo of Luca Santucci and Ben Fitzgerald take the dubstep genre into tolerable realms. Yeah, I'm tired on the sound as well, but they infuse it with a lot of soul and personality. Santucci's mournful voice against the simple breakbeats and off-kilter loops and bleeps is what makes them appealing. It's a little bit Radiohead, Wild Beasts and Four Tet.
They recently released self-titled debut album on the One Little Indian label (Olöf Arnalds, RNDN, Flats). It includes a cover of Reuben Bell and the Casanovas, "It's Not That Easy". Their breakthrough single from the album is "Need Someone". The accompanying video will remind you of that 1985 classic video, Godley & Creme's Cry. It shows a series of women on the verge of tears. It's like a night out with me.

Not the biggest fan of dubstep, but this song is awesome, and the video just makes it better! Thanks for posting!
