Before I delve into this French duo, I've started watching The Walking Dead because I was I tired of people saying to me, "YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THE WALKING DEAD!!!!" I'm all about pleasing other people and limiting annoyance sin my life.
In any event, French music makers Cosmic Neman and Etienne Jaumet make crazy electronic music that combs the vast music landscape of sci-fi movies, kraut rock, experimental funk and jazz. It sounds like Holy Fuck going the Goblin route. Previously, they've released offical remixes for Martin's Gore VCMG project and worked with fellow French DJ Joakim. On the duo's latest album, Rituels d'un Nouveau Monde (Rituals of the New World), is the track Illuminations that features all that weirdness that I mentioned. You can't dance to it but it's trippy none-the-less.
Going back to 2008, Zombie Zombie made a short, stop motion remake of John Carpenter's The Thing (Kill it fire!) using G.I. Joe action figures. Time well spent.
