Guess they are not broken up after all. U.K. superstars and somewhat U.S. superstars The Fratellis have booked an April 2013 UK tour, their first live dates in four years. In that time, lead singer Jon Lawler released a solo album, Psycho Jukebox, and a side-project with singer Lou Hickey called Codeine Velvet Club.
For 2013, Lawler reconnects with his two "brothers" for the follow-up to 2008's listless lackluster sophomore album, Here We Stand. Their debut album, Costello Music, was a massive success and a rousing party album. You still hear "Chelsea Dagger" in TV placements today.
Lawler says of the band's return: “We've not changed in any way that is going to challenge people too much and you can’t really expect people to buy into what you are doing and then completely change it. You do enough to keep them motivated and interested.”
Here are their UK dates:
April 11: Electric Ballroom -- London
April 12: HMV Institute -- Birmingham
April 13: HMV Ritz -- Manchester
April 15: O2 Academy -- Bristol
April 16: O2 Academy -- Newcastle
April 17: O2 Academy -- Liverpool
April 19: Barrowland -- Glasgow
