Looks like somebody will leaving Governor's Ball early this year. "Ladies and gentleman, would you please welcome to the stage, Kings of Leon" Ohhhhh, look at the time. As a puff of smoke replaces my spot. I guess when you can't get Bon Jovi, you get their modern equivalent.
The lengthy line-up for this year's Governor's Ball is up. It will be three-days this year where you can soak up some tunes on Randall's Island and complain how long it gets to walk there.
June 7, 8 and 9 are your dates.
Headliners are reality show star Kanye West, teen pop band Kings of Leon and a third to be announced *cough* Mumford *cough*.
So not the headliners I would choose, but you get something for everyone before that. Names that jump out as me -- Feist, Nas, The XX, Beach House, Lumineers, Alt-J, Thievery Corporation, Bloc Party, Death From Above 1979, Crystal Castles, Azealia Banks, Divine Fits and others!
Here's the poster you'll see across town. The blue represents the big names, the red represents the bands you know of, but your idiot friend might not and the yellow will be bands that will play in front of 50 people in an open field.
